Smoke residue can build up on exterior wood surfaces over time, contributing to a strong smoke smell on wood furniture. A surface cleaning of your finished wood exteriors will help get rid of stubborn smoke odors.
Use a mild, wood-safe cleaner and microfiber cloth to clean the exterior wood surfaces, making sure to wipe away any debris or other smoke build up.
A mild cleaner with hydrogen peroxide is recommended and should be safe for most wood finishes. However, always test cleaning products on a small inconspicuous area for colorfastness before using on a new surface.
Unfinished wood surfaces, like the inside surfaces of wood furniture, the underside of a wood table, or wooden drawers, can trap in smoke odors like a sponge.

Allow the OdoBan® to sit for a few minutes before wiping away with a microfiber cloth.
Allow all unfinished wood surfaces to dry in an area with good air flow. After drying, keep the wood furniture in an area with maximum air flow.
It takes time to eliminate smoke odors on wood. Allow the treated wood to remain in an area with good airflow, and repeat the OdoBan® treatment on unfinished wood surfaces, as necessary.
Depending on how saturated with smoke the wood surfaces are, it may take days, weeks, or months before the smoke odor is completely removed.
