In this post, we’ll cover how to use OdoBan® Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator in the washing machine to freshen and soften laundry and get odors out of clothes. OdoBan® concentrate also removes static cling and won’t damage your delicate laundry fibers, making it one of the best fabric softener alternatives. OdoBan® is HE safe and can be used with all washing machines, including high-efficiency washers.
We know you’ll love using OdoBan® for laundry. Additionally, OdoBan® can be used in the washing machine to freshen and eliminate odors on bedding, towels, and small rugs.
OdoBan® concentrate comes in a variety of fresh scents. Our most popular OdoBan® scent for laundry is original eucalyptus. This unique fragrance is based on a diverse blend of wildflowers and botanicals that can be traced back through thousands of years of use against bad smells.
To get started, here’s what you’ll need:
- OdoBan® Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator concentrate
- Measuring cup (not for food use)
- Dirty laundry
- Washing machine
A few other quick safety reminders:
- Never mix OdoBan® with any cleaning products or chemicals.
- Always use OdoBan® as directed on the label.
- Don’t measure OdoBan® with measuring cups used for food and drink.
Using OdoBan® concentrate for laundry is simple and straightforward.
For a large load of laundry, add 8 ounces (240 mL) of OdoBan® concentrate to the final rinse cycle of your washing machine.
To maximize laundry freshness, we do not recommend adding OdoBan® at the same time that you add laundry detergent. However, if your washing machine has an automatic fabric softener dispenser, OdoBan® can be added to this dispenser at the beginning of the cycle. Please check your washing machine’s directions for dispenser use details.
For half loads or smaller laundry loads, add 4 ounces (120 mL) of OdoBan® concentrate to the final rinse cycle.
When using OdoBan® concentrate with a front-loading washing machine, you’ll need to pour OdoBan® into the fabric softener dispenser. Front-loading washers typically use less water than top-loading washers, so using a little less OdoBan® concentrate should still be effective.
