OdoBan® cleans, disinfects§, sanitizes§ and deodorizes most precleaned hard, nonporous household surfaces. Eliminates unpleasant odors on washable surfaces such as upholstery, carpets, bedding, showers, walls and floors while leaving a fresh scent. This industrial liquid odor eliminator leaves no residue and has a variety of uses.

Where can OdoBan® be used?

On walls, tables, floors, chairs, countertops, bathroom fixtures, sinks, shelves, racks, upholstery, drapes, carpets, bedding, shower curtains and mattresses.

OdoBan® is effective at eliminating odors on porous surfaces such as upholstery, drapes, carpets, bedding, shower curtains and mattresses. Affected areas should be saturated with enough OdoBan® to remain damp for at least ten minutes. Then blot with a clean cloth and allow to dry. EXCELLENT FOR FIRE RESTORATION.

Use OdoBan® to preclean critical or semi-critical medical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.

Use OdoBan® in and around bathtubs and shower stalls to reduce the growth of mold and mildew.

Use OdoBan® in basements to eliminate odors caused by mold and mildew and to reduce the growth of mold and mildew.

Use OdoBan® to disinfect hair-grooming tools like scissors, combs, brushes, razors, clipper blades, manicure implements and other nonporous instruments.

OdoBan® may be used in hospitals, homes, medical and dental offices, nursing homes, day care centers, nurseries, restaurants and bars, cafeterias, institutional facilities, public restrooms, institutions, schools, athletic facilities, camp grounds, play grounds, public facilities, transportation terminals, hotels and motels, factories, business and office buildings, boats, ships, campers, trailers, mobile homes, cars, buses, ambulances, trains, taxis, airplanes, garages, shops, hair and nail salons.

OdoBan® is safe for use on washable hard, surfaces including countertops, exhaust fans, sinks, appliances, tables, chairs, desks, highchairs, bed frames, washable walls, cabinets, door knobs, baby toys, telephones, shower stalls, tubs and glazed tiles, toilets, portable toilets, glazed porcelain tiling, garbage cans, stainless steel, enameled surfaces, finished woodwork, Formica, vinyl, leather and plastic upholstery, bathtubs, sinks, urinals, toilet bowls, toilet bowl surfaces, related fixtures, walls, floors and other nonporous surfaces such as metal, stainless steel, glazed porcelain, ceramic, fiberglass, stone and plastic.

 

Directions for use

It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

This product is not to be used as a terminal sterilant/high level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the bloodstream or normally sterile areas of the body, or (2) contacts intact mucous membranes but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body. This product may be used to preclean or decontaminate critical or semi-critical medical devices prior to sterilization or high-level disinfection.

 

How to Apply

Apply use-solution by thoroughly wetting surfaces as recommended and required. Clean with a cloth, sponge, brush or mop before disinfecting or sanitizing. For sprayer applications, adjust sprayer to coarse spray setting. Apply 6-8 inches from surface. Do not breathe spray. Follow application directions. Prepare a fresh solution daily or when use-solution becomes visibly dirty. Floors are slippery when wet. Allow to dry before reentering cleaned area.

Disinfectant Directions

OdoBan® is a Hospital Disinfectant for precleaned surfaces at 5 oz. per gallon of water, Bactericidal according to the AOAC Use Dilution Test Method and a Mildewstat according to the EPA Mildew-Fungistatic guidelines in 10 minutes, and Virucidal* according to the virucidal qualification in 60 seconds, against the following germs‡:

OdoBan®, at 7 oz. per gallon of water, is Bactericidal according to the AOAC Use Dilution Test Method and Fungicidal according to the Fungicidal AOAC Use Dilution Test Method in 10 minutes against the following germs‡:

Remove visible soil, then thoroughly pre-clean surfaces with a cloth, sponge, brush or mop. Apply use-solution (5 oz. per gallon of water) to hard, nonporous surfaces as required. Treated surfaces must remain undisturbed and visibly wet for 10 minutes. For heavy-duty use, add 7 oz. per gallon of water, to disinfect hard, precleaned nonporous nonfood contact surfaces.

 

Fungicidal Disinfection Directions

At 7 oz. per gallon of water, this product is an effective fungicide against Trichophyton interdigitale (the athlete’s foot fungus) when used on surfaces in areas such as locker rooms, dressing rooms, shower and bath areas and exercise facilities. Treated surfaces must remain undisturbed and visibly wet for 10 minutes.

 

Mold and Mildew Control

To control mold and mildew on hard, nonporous, nonfood contact surfaces, wash visible soil from the surface. Then apply use solution, 5 oz per gallon of water with a mop, sponge, cloth or trigger spray so as to wet all surfaces thoroughly. Let air dry. Repeat application every 7 days to control reoccurrence of growth.

 

Virucidal* Disinfection Directions

Remove visible soil, then thoroughly preclean surfaces. Apply use-solution (5 oz. per gallon of water) to hard, nonporous surfaces as required. Treated surfaces must remain undisturbed and visibly wet for 60 seconds.

(Special Instructions for Use against HIV-1)

KILLS§ HIV ON PRECLEANED ENVIRONMENTAL SURFACES/OBJECTS PREVIOUSLY SOILED WITH BLOOD/BODY FLUIDS, in health care settings or other settings in which there is an expected likelihood of soiling of inanimate surfaces/objects with blood or body fluids and in which the surfaces/objects likely to be soiled with blood or body fluids can be associated with the potential for transmission of human immunodeficiency virus Type 1 (HIV-1) (associated with AIDS).

(Special Instructions for Cleaning and Decontamination Against HIV-1 on Surfaces/Objects Soiled with Blood/Body Fluids)

PERSONAL PROTECTION: Clean-up should always be done wearing protective latex gloves, gowns, masks and eye protection.

CLEANING PROCEDURE: Blood and other body fluids containing HIV must be thoroughly cleaned from surfaces and objects before application of this product.

CONTACT TIME: Leave surface wet for 60 seconds. Use a 10 minute contact time for disinfection against bacteria (5 oz per gallon of water and fungi (7 oz per gallon of water).

DISPOSAL OF INFECTIOUS MATERIALS: Blood, body fluids, cleaning materials and clothing should be autoclaved and disposed of according to local regulations for infectious waste disposal.

 

Non-Acid Toilet Bowl Disinfectant Directions:

Preclean toilet bowl prior to disinfection. From Concentrate: Add 5 oz. to the toilet bowl and mix. Brush thoroughly over exposed surfaces including under the rim. Allow to stand for 10 minutes and flush.

 

Barber/Salon Instrument and Tool Disinfection Directions

Use 5 oz. of this product per gallon of water. Completely immerse precleaned combs, brushes, scissors, clipper blades, razors, manicure implements and other nonporous instruments so that surfaces remain wet for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and dry before use. Change solution daily or when visibly dirty. Note: Plastics may remain immersed until ready to use. Stainless steel shears and instruments must be removed after 10 minutes, rinsed, dried and kept in a clean, non-contaminated receptacle. Prolonged soaking may cause damage to metal instruments.

 

Ultrasonic Bath Disinfection Directions

Use OdoBan® to disinfect hard nonporous, non-critical objects compatible with Ultrasonic cleaning units. Preclean soiled objects. Pour fresh use-solution of 5 oz. per gallon of water directly into bath chamber. Place objects into unit and operate for a minimum of 10 minutes, according to the manufacturer’s directions. Remove objects and wash with sterile water or allow to air dry. Prepare fresh solution for each use.

 

Whirlpool Units Disinfection Directions

After using the whirlpool unit, drain, preclean and refill with fresh water to just cover the intake valve. Add 5 oz. of OdoBan® for each gallon of fresh water added. Start the pump to circulate the solution. Wash down the unit sides, seat of the chair lift and any related equipment with a clean swab, brush or sponge. Treated surfaces must remain wet for 10 minutes. After the unit has been thoroughly disinfected, drain the solution from the unit and rinse the disinfected surfaces with fresh water.

 

Veterinary Clinics/Pet Shop/Kennels/Breeding and grooming Establishment Disinfection Directions

For cleaning and disinfecting hard nonporous surfaces including equipment, utensils, instruments, cages, kennels, stables, catteries, etc. Remove all animals and feeds from premises, animal transportation vehicles, crates, etc. Remove all litter, droppings and manure from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities occupied or traversed by animals. Empty all feeding and watering appliances. Thoroughly preclean all surfaces and rinse with water.

Spray, saturate or immerse all hard, nonporous surfaces with a use-solution of 5 oz. of OdoBan® per gallon of water for a period of 10 minutes. Wipe or allow to air dry.

Ventilate buildings and other closed spaces. Do not house animals or employ equipment until treatment has been absorbed, set or dried.

 

Sanitizer Directions

OdoBan® is a sanitizer for precleaned, hard and nonporous non-food contact surfaces according to the method for Inanimate Non-Food Contact Surface Sanitizer in 60 seconds at 5 oz per gallon of water against the following germs:

POULTRY AND FARM PREMISE SANITATION:

SITE PREPARATION
The first step in any ongoing sanitation program should be the removal of gross contamination and debris. This may be accomplished using a shovel, broom, or vacuum depending on the area to be sanitized. The efficacy of even the most efficient germicidal cleaner is reduced in the presence of visible organic matter. Once the debris is eliminated, sanitation can be accomplished easily.

CLEANING AND SANITIZING
For general cleaning and sanitizing, use 5 oz. per gallon of water. Apply OdoBan® use-solution using a cloth, mop, or coarse spray to thoroughly wet surface to be sanitized. Allow to remain wet for 60 seconds and let air dry. A precleaning step is required. Prepare a fresh solution after each use.

APPLICATION AND USE DILUTION
Before Use: Remove all animals and feeds from premises, trucks, coops and crates. Remove all litter, droppings and manure from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities occupied or traversed by animals. Empty all troughs, racks and other feeding and watering appliances. Thoroughly clean surfaces with soap or detergent and rinse with water.

How to Mix and Apply: Use 5 oz. of OdoBan® per gallon of water. Saturate surfaces with the use-solution for a period of 60 seconds.

Ventilate buildings, coops and other enclosed spaces. Do not house animals or employ equipment until treatment has been absorbed, set, or dried. Thoroughly scrub treated feed racks, troughs, automatic feeders, fountains and waterers with soap or detergent and rinse with potable water before reuse.

Immerse all halters, ropes and types of equipment used in handling and restraining animals, as well as forks, shovels and scrapers used for removing litter and manure in use-solution for 60 seconds.

HATCHERIES: Use 5 oz. of OdoBan® per gallon of water to treat hatchers, setters, trays, racks, carts, sexing tables, delivery trucks and other hard surfaces. Leave all treated surfaces exposed to solution for 60 seconds or more.

VEHICLES: Clean all vehicles including mats, crates, cabs and wheels with high-pressure water and OdoBan®. Use 5 oz. per gallon to treat all vehicles. Leave all treated surfaces exposed to solution wet for 60 seconds.

SHOE BATHS: Shoe baths containing one inch of freshly made solution should be placed at all entrances to buildings and hatcheries. Change the solution in the bath daily or when solution appears dirty.

DRESSING PLANT USE: Clean equipment, utensils, walls and floors in poultry and animal dressing rooms, office rooms, exterior walls and loading platforms of dressing plants. Cover or remove all food and packaging materials. Remove all gross soils. Saturate all surfaces with 5 oz. per gallon of water. Scrub to loosen all soils. Allow to soak for 60 seconds and thoroughly rinse all wetted and cleaned surfaces with potable water.
