
OdoBan Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator Meets Criteria for List N: Disinfectants for use against a Human Coronavirus similar to SARS-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
On March 11, 2021, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved a label amendment to add a claim for effectiveness against Human Coronavirus for OdoBan Disinfectant and Odor Eliminator. Approval of this claim paves the way for OdoBan (EPA Reg. No. 66243-2) and OdoBan Ready-To-Use (EPA Reg. No. 66243-1) to be included on EPA’s List N: Disinfectants for use against SARS-Cov-2. The current COVID-19 pandemic is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
OdoBan was tested to determine the virucidal efficacy of OdoBan against Human Coronavirus, strain 229E ATCC VR-740 at a contact time of 60 seconds at room temperature.
OdoBan met the U.S. EPA Product Performance Guidelines for Use on Hard Surfaces outlined in OCSPP 810.2200 when tested against Human Coronavirus, strain 229E ATCC VR-740, diluted 5 oz per gallon of water at a contact time of 60 seconds.
